Standard Datagram

Per RFC 1149

IP datagrams printed on paper, affixed to the carrier's leg, and released in the general direction of the destination.

  • Best-effort delivery (see company name)
  • Automatic retransmission: no
  • Automatic return to sender: frequent, unrequested

Priority QoS

Per RFC 2549

Quality of Service for demanding workloads. Priority packets travel by a carrier that has been fed slightly better.

  • Service classes: Concorde, First, Business, Coach
  • Bulk carriage available (ostrich, one packet, large font)
  • SLA: emotional

IPv6 Carriage

Per RFC 6214

Full 128-bit addressing support. Requires a larger card, a stronger carrier, and a customer who has genuinely deployed IPv6.

  • Jumbograms: quoted on request, declined on receipt
  • Dual-stack: two birds, string between them
